Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Services (CPST)
Community Support Services provides a variety of services designed to reduce the obstacles to recovery and enable individuals to live as independently as possible in the community. The Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Service (CPST), is comprised of case managers known as Community Rehabilitation Specialists (CRS) who provide or assist individuals in obtaining case management, counseling, crisis intervention, health and dental care, housing, income support and entitlements, peer support, family and community support, vocational rehabilitation services and protection and advocacy services.

Community Rehabilitation Specialists are part of specialized treatment teams that work with specific client populations including young adults, older adults, people in nursing homes, individuals who suffer from bi-polar disorders, individuals who are homeless, individuals involved in the criminal justice system and individuals with a co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorder. CSS also provides ongoing service coordination between the Summit County Jail and the Summit County Behavioral Health system to ensure continuity of care for inmates being released into the community.
